you can drive or take a ferry from England to Portugal so it sounds a lot more exotic than it really is. It's probably more like spending a weekend in the Wisconsin Dells than anything, but it doesn't sound as sexy to say you raced go-carts as it would to say you spent the weekend on the beach in Portugal. Although I'll be honest, if it was up to me I'd rather race the go-carts.
